Gets or sets a value indicating whether an form is displayed in the Windows taskbar.

form.ShowInTaskBar [ = Boolean ]

Property Value

True to display the owned form in the Windows taskbar at run time; otherwise, false. The default is true.

Only an owned form or a form with certain border styles can be hidden in the taskbar. An application creates an owned form by specifying the owner's form handle as the ownerForm parameter in the Form method when it creates a form. To create the appearance of a top-level form that is hidden in the taskbar, first create a hidden top-level form then create a secondary form owned by the hidden form, example:

$System = CreateObject("Kixtart.System") $Root = $System.Form() $Form = $System.Form($Root) $Form.ShowInTaskBar = "False"

A top-level form that has it's FormBorderStyle property set to FixedToolWindow or SizableToolWindow can also be hidden from the taskbar.
