Hi all,

I'd like to share my latest game with you (well, it's not really mine but inspired by Alexej Pajitnov's famous Tetris® Wink)
Taking advantage of the brand new .KeyPreview property it requires

KiXforms 2.3.0 beta 4

Game download

Screenshot:

Enjoy

KeyPreview is there to grab keyboard input on the form no matter where the focus currently is.

I had to switch the focus to one of the labels to control the Autopause-on-lost-focus feature as form.focus tries to set focus to one of its childs as soon as it gets focus so the KeyPreview property came just in time for this.

Hope this explains it correctly, Shawn ?

There was a bug spotted by Christophe Melin of Korg.
When running under NT the Highscore Table may hang the script.
I sent a fixed version (1.01) to Rod in order to update the Archive and will update the download link accordingly.

In the mean time to fix this manually (only if you run 1.0)

replace line 488 with:

Code:
    dim $s, $txt, $pos, $i, $j, $frmHSTable

replace line 567 ($frmHSTable.Dispose) with $frmHSTable = 0
additionally add after $frmHSTable creation:

$frmHSTable.TopMost = 1

Sorry for the inconvenience

NICE!!

it was this lack kb input... what 2 years ago... that made me stop trying to write a kix version of tetrix.

Shawn was helpfull by developing some of the very early alpha versions of what is now KiXforms, mostly timer routines, and no GUI at all. We were also using Kix's OLD com object routines then Shocked

Shawn, you just keep adding and adding!!

Jochen, wow nice work.

Bryce, I was at your web site a few days ago and noticed you got some really old stuff there. Still got kixlib32 and maybe even that very first incarnation of kixwin32 there ... think maybe an update is warranted ? Wink

All right, it happened again.
The Icon Library changed once more and the 'nul' icon is now #67

If you use build 43 and want to change the behavior of the skill buttons open the file with the editor of your choice and replace all occurances of 63 by 67 Rolling Eyes

Think we should discuss once more the handling of the nul icon (think we ended up once placing it at -1).

Meanwhile I'm back at enhancing KiXpuzzle to display jpg and gif Cunning

there seems to be a bug in either KF or in the game.
after some 48000 points in novice, the system ran out of mem.
closing apps lets me continue until it runs out again.

which kforms build do you use ?
[edit]Furthermore it'd be interesting to know which KiXtart version, OS, etc. is used while the 'bug' occurs ... Ya know, all the things one need to know to reproduce the behaviour Razz [/edit]
